INFANT SEE PROGRAM: THE IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR EYE CARE
For the 6 month to 18 year age group: *At 6 months, 3 years old, before starting school, then every two years. Those 18 to 40 years: Every 2-3 years. Patients 41 to 60 years: every 2 years. Finally those age 60 years and older: Every year.
The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends visiting your eye care professional on the above schedule (more often, if specific problems or risk factors exists.) People who currently wear contacts should have their eyes checked once a year.

*Drs. Buckingham and Kaminski are part of a new AOA public health program this summer providing no cost eye assessments to infants under 12 months of age. The InfantSEE program broadens the evaluation of an infant's vision and eye health status done at the pediatrician's office.

Drs. Buckingham and Kaminski offer 2-3 LASIK Screenings per year. Representatives from TLC Michigan will be offering complimentary Pre-LASIK screening. There are a limited number of appointments for this. TLC will be able to determine whether or not you're a candidate for the LASIK procedure. The usual fee for the pre-LASIK evaluation is $150.00 but will be complimentary this day only for a select few. Those who are candidates need to see Dr. Buckingham or Dr. Kaminski for a current check of their eyeglass prescription and will need to have a retinal examination with dilated pupils before they are approved for the LASIK procedure. To celebrate the occasion, the Page Optical staff and customers are welcome to the Grand Opening. One of our eyeglass frame representatives will be displaying their company's entire line of eyewear. For the open house we are offering our best optical deals. No appointments are needed for the trunk show and outside prescriptions are welcome.
